My Abstracts

So I have been comissioned to make a few abstracts which I am more then happy to do. Yesterday at a house warming party for a friend I was babling about what art means to me and I found myself in this thought of questioning my own purpose for art. This is some thing that I struggle with in art. All through out my college years I was learning that the really good artsist’s had purpose to their work I have very little to say.But I think that maybe the art is a process for me. It’s not what it is at the end, but how I got to the end that is my work of art. I realized that all these different processes that I think about through out are related to the final piece and that is what makes my work special. I find my self thinking about multiple layers of art on one stretched canvis pertaining to one theme for each piece.
I am very excited about John pouncy’s pieces. I found my self grinning ear to ear thinking about what it was that the abstract needed and allot of my latest piece I have been putting more emphasis on Mythology, Dreams, Death and Dying. The far right one I have become inspired by Junewind and Jesar to create some abstracts using a 3d medium and an illustrative medium(corel draw *cough*). More on that soon to come. I still have three new abstracts to work on. time to get back to work.

I had some photos from my cruse that I have not ever shown. I think at the time I was just trying to decide if I should upgrade my web site and in the mist of it all forgot to post these pictures. Here are some of the pics from the trip. I will have more from this trip latter. I think I will probably make a photo album page out of those photos. There are allot of photos from our trip and I think that they will need there own pages seperate from my posts.
